Why stand for the next Council?

Eillen Prior, member of the 12th Council, said her involvement with GTC Scotland has proved to be "fascinating and challenging".

She said: "It has challenged my understanding of what it means to be a teacher and given me a deeper understanding of the sector.

"It is arduous work, but rewarding, bringing into focus skills and attributes needed by teachers in classrooms and the support they need to succeed."
