Changes at the top with new roles
GTC Scotland has made some organisational changes in response to plans to change the status and structure of the next Council.
Gavin Scott has become Director of Operations, encompassing some of the management responsibilities of Avril Barker, who recently retired after giving 27 years of service to GTC Scotland.
Martin Osler has been appointed as Head of Corporate Communications and Information Services, while Gillian Hamilton has taken on the role of Head of Educational Services. Both of these are new positions.
Some existing management roles have also been changed. In light of these, John Adams has become Head of Registration Services, while Head of Fitness to Teach is John Anderson.
