The future-proof lesson plan from TTS
When it comes to resources, TTS has been some teachers best kept secrets, but its about time the rest of Scotland got to see what they have to offer. With more than 25 years of experience they are the home of innovation. They spend hundreds of hours talking to teachers, advisors, parents, early years professionals and many others to find out what children need to reach their full potential. The result is exceptional resources!
Some of the best resources that TTS have developed, and that have already proved to be popular by those quick off the mark in Scotland, are from their electronics range. Well known for being robust, affordable and easy to use, teachers have found these resources particularly useful as they can not only be used right across the curriculum, but also throughout the school, by even the youngest of children, making them great value for money.
TTS has launched more than 50 new electronic resources for 2011, and some of these are up for grabs in this fabulous competition. For example, a new set of six Rainbow Easi-Speaks designed for classroom use and ideal for lots of activities including role play, podcasting and even assessment. Talking Jolly Phonics is another new addition. This set has 42 tiles each with a different pre-recorded phonics sound that children can hear by simply pressing a button. The set also included three tiles that can be recorded into so children can listen to themselves practising their pronunciation.
Testimonials
"I found the recordable books and whiteboards a good way to document learning which children could use independently."
Nicola Dickson, Early Years Support Team, East Dunbartonshire
"We ordered a lot of equipment from TTS. We have found it all to be helpful, especially the talking photograph albums and the easy to use visualisers. Great company!"
Jane Tedcastle, HT Fintry Primary School, Fintry, Turriff Aberdeenshire
"We've bought lots from TTS over the years. The recordable postcards were a particular favourite. The children are so enthusiastic when we are learning with the Probots. We use the blank sheet to write answers on for sums and the pupils program the Probots to go to the correct answers, so they're doing real cross curricular work. TTS have introduced us to so many up to date products that we were not even aware of."
Fiona Nicolson, HT Drumblade School
"We use our visualisers in assessment activities. They're ideal for capturing evidence in cross-curricular group activities. We have also used them for self-evaluation and monitoring teaching and learning."
Karen Tominey, HT, St Josephs Primary School, Aberdeen
"The TTS Easi-Speak is a great way to record evidence. The recordable albums were a motivating way for children to talk about their work and to be able to revisit it.
Leeanne Gordon, Early Years Support Team, East Dunbartonshire.
